On my own

06 September 2009

This month is my birth month and I'll be celebrating my birthday on the 27th. Yay!

Speaking of birthday, I think it's about time to declare the independence I been delaying a long time ago. Please don't get me wrong, i can do things on my own, go where i want to go, what im saying is a different kind on independence.

I am a happy person, jolly, i love being surrounded by people i love, i love going to places with friends and families. Most outdoor things i did, I always have friends with me or family. Since I met J three months ago, he's been my constant companion.

Nonetheless, I always want to do things that scares me and go to places i never set foot in (alone) I went to divisoria or quaipo alone, it never scares me even if i been mugged 3 or 4 times because i know my way home. I am a certified lakwatsera, (ask me a place here in manila and i'm sure i can give you direction) but only to places where i can hail a cab when i'm really lost and tried.

When i graduated from college, i wanted to work somewhere outside Manila where I know nobody but me, but I set aside that idea since my is gonna freak out.

Anyway, since i been wanting to declare my independence a long time ago, i wanted to do things on my own this time, on my brith month.

So here is my list (partial) of the things I want to do ALONE, and that i hope i can accomplish if not this month, at least this year

1. Go out of town alone, my first choice is to visit pink Sister and Sonia's Garden in Tagaytay and go to Ilocos and to any other places if possible.
2. Watch movie alone ( im not sure, but ill put it in my list)
3. To travel out of the country alone in Asia only,( if outside Asia, that's a different story)
4. Call me weird but im scared to have a whole body massage, so i'll try this one. I've tried a back massage though.

Last night my mom and I had a real talk and she already gave me her blessing, i'm moving out .i thought she'll freak out when she heard it but thank goodness, she says yes pero next pa daw, lol pwede na rin. I have a conservative parents and im the youngest so it is understandable , i know you can relate. Hope she wont change her mind when that time comes, lol.

Please watch out on my solo flights soon, i really hope time permit me to do these things, alone.

For the meantime, i'll visit you blogs. Ciao

hello mitch, i wish you all the best on your plans! i hope you'd reach your goals, and if not, then try again sometime later.

it's great to be independent, to live on your own, make your own decisions, and be responsible for your actions. it will also draw you much closer to your family, because you're going to miss them and you're going to long for their company. it will make you treasure the times spent with them, and you'll be able to appreciate your relationship with them even better.

i know. i did so myself. ^-^

Wow, i never did that because I got married early, and now that independence for me is with my own family, it feels like real freedom. But with someone I love and with the kids we have. Wish you the best on what you will do.
