It is a small world after all

29 November 2009

This is my official entry (official entry talaga) to KG's contest about Favorite places and places i dream of going to. Like what i have said in my previous post, I have known KG for her love of traveling, exploring wonderful places and sharing all of these with us, yes indeed she is contagious, with her every post, it makes me wanna to go right then and there.

Among the places i set foot in, so far my top 3 favorite :
1
SINGAPORE

My firs out of the country trip was in Singapore, and it will always have a place in my heart. I enjoyed the sentosa trip, the cleanliness of the city, shopping at orchard road, my first taste of Roti prata and i love love their coffee and the MRT ride and most of all my first taste of Independence.

2
ANAWANGIN

I left my heart there.

3
Of COURSE my beloved hometown QUEZON

Isn't it nice when there is one place where you can always go back to, where people dear to you always welcomes you with a huge smile and a warm hug, where happy memories are always vivid and will never ever turn its back on you? How wonderful!

Now, my top 3 Places I dream of going to

1
PARIS, FRANCE

Need I say more? Other people say, Europe is a must see before you die...someday Paris, someday, wait for me

{Via}

2
HONGKONG

I want to experience Disneyland

{Via}

3

MALDIVES, oh malvides....

{Via}

There are a lot of places I want to go to, discover and conquer, as in a lot, i was born with a mole in my foot. Only here in our country there are a lot of wonderful places, i want to go to Bohol, Palawan, Batanes, Ilocos and a lot more, too many to mention. Thanks CEBU Pacific AND PAL for the promo, hopefully more promos to come, who knows I might visit GenSan next year, di ba Sheng, wink wink.

My next stop is Bangkong in January next year, my excited and hopefully Australia in 2011 to visit my brother.

IT IS A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL!

28 November 2009

Just like what brusky said, yes "i'm semi-back", with my little time for blogging, email checking, face booking and hanging out with my old friends .. i wanted to grab this opportunity (long weekend and a stable internet connection AS OF THE MOMENT, calling PLDT) to catch up with you guys.

I am excited because:

(1) excited with my new Starbucks 2010 planner, can't wait to write my scheds and plans for 2010, it is my very first SB planner, thanks to my generous friends for their contribution, actually i dont have plan of getting one since 17 SB beverages is magastos, but knowing that it is for a good cause since some proceed will go the victims of Typhoon Ondoy and to SparHope, i decided to join and I believed we are meant to be (lol), a friend treated us at SB and he gave me the stickers, I got 4 and another friend contributed three and few other friends so I completed the 17 stickers in two weeks time, yay I'm blessed with generous friends, Thank you God.

(2) excited with KG's contest, her love for traveling and exploring beautiful places is very contagious and she inspires me to save money to explore places too and experience it my self, I have learned something from the different places she visited and i've come to love her blog more because of this, thanks for sharing your wonderful experience.

(3) with airlines left and right promo fare (PAL and CEBU)

(4) with free movie passes (any movies) from citibank, if i learned about it earlier i could have watch new moon and 2012 for free, anyway marami pang movies na susunod

12 September 2009

A funny thought to ponder on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

An excerpt from Bob Ong's:

Mga Pilosopiya sa pag-ibig

“ Kung maghihintay ka lang nang lalandi sayo, walang magyayari sa buhay mo… dapat lumandi ka din.”. .

dahil baka bukas pag gising mo ito na itsura mo.....

Happy Weekend everyone!

Inspired by When you're 30

09 September 2009

I really had fun reading jo's post "when you're 30" , so i come up with answers to each number.

I'm 31, single, looking for a satisfying relationship, Im tired being in a a relationship only to find out that he is not the one, eh! my mom said he'll come in God's time, i hope this is the time, (but i enjoyed J's company) a satisfying career and something else that i believed still lacking in life. I'm not ashamed and im happy.

By 30 you should have:

1. One old boyfriend you can imagine going back to and one who remind you of how far you've come.
Ans: I can't imagine going back to any of my exs but i have special someone i regret because i have not given him a chance and i did not let him know how i feel, there are so many what if? Only if i can turn back time.

2. I decent piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in your family.
Ans: I have yet to experience living on my own (hopefully). when i got a job after college our house is fully furnished but I bought mom a dining table.

3. Something perfect to wear if an employer or the man of dreams want to see you in an hour.
Ans: Yes, i do have outfit to wear to impress them (chose!)

4. A purse, a suitcase and an umbrella you are not ashamed to be seen carrying.
Ans: I have those and i always have an umbrella with me.

5. A youth you're content to move beyond.
Ans: Like what redlan said, Yes no further explanation

6. A past juicy enough that you're looking forward retelling it in your old age.
Ans: I have lots of juicy past, that i can say been there, done that. lol

7. The realization that you are actually going to have old age - and some money set aside to help fund it.
Ans: As the old saying goes " mas mabuti na yung may pinagkatandaan kesa wala". I have realized it even before im 30 and need to save money to prepare for it.

8. An email address, a voice mailbox and a bank account- all of which nobody has access to but you.
Ans: I have those expect for the voice mailbox, ma try nga.

9. A resume that is not even a bit padded
Ans. Amen

10. One friend who always makes you laugh and one who makes you cry.
Ans: I have my bff who is the clown of my life and yes i have a friend who makes me cry for happy and sad reasons.

11. A set of screwdriver, a cordless drill and a black lace bra.
Ans. Maybe when i have my own place I'll buy screwdriver, I dont think i need cordless drill and i have black bra without lace, im not fond of lace. Bat kelangan tlaga may lace, lol

12. Something that is ridiculously expensive you bought for your self, just because you deserve it.
Ans: I treat my self an out of the country trip.

13. the belief that you deserve it.
Ans: Yes i deserve it!

14. A skin regimen, an exercise routine and a plan for dealing few other facets of life that don't get better after 30.
Ans. I started a skin regimen when I was in my teens, when pimples started to show up on my face, i have an on and off exercise routine and I dont want to worry on things, I just want to enjoy life.

15. A satisfying career, a satisfying relationship and all those facets of life that do get better.
Ans. A satisfying career is like having a relationship, you'll stumble on few wrong jobs or should i say a job not suited to you before you find the right one. Only few are lucky enough to find it in their early life. For me all of these are yet to come, very soon I strongly believed that.

By 30 you should know

1. how to fall in love without losing your self.
Ans. I have few serious relationship, a bad and good break ups and im proud i was able to keep my sanity intact, lol.

2. how you feel about having kids.
Ans. I love kids and i want my own.

3. how to quit a job, break up with a man and confront a friend without ruining the relationship.
Ans. I've quit in my few jobs, break up with men because i fell out of love and we became friends after and i'm not good at confrontation, i'd rather cease the fire

4. When to try harder and when to walk away
Ans. When I want things badly i will try hard to get it but when i feel that after doing everything I still don't have it then I'll walk away

5. How to kiss in a way that communicates perfectly what you would and would not want to happen next.
Ans. Amen again.

6. The names of: the secretary of state, your great-grand mother and the best tailor in town.
Ans. Sino daw, secretary of state? I know my great-grand ma on my father side, and the best tailor in our town, he used to be my dad before he switch to an office his job.

7. How to leave alone, even if you don't like to
Ans. As i'ved said, it is something i need to discover yet.

8. How to control of you own birthday
Ans. You mean birthday party?

9. that you cant change the length of your calves, the width of your hips and the nature of your parents.
Ans. I have accepted that a long time ago.

10. That your childhood may not have been perfect, but it's over
Ans. My former boss asked me "Michelle, why are you always happy?" I dont remember my answer but looking back i can say whoever i become, I owe it to my happy childhood.

11. what you would and wouldn't do for money or love
Ans. OO, naman!

12. That nobody gets away with smoking, drinking, doing drugs or not flossing for very long
Ans. korek

13. who you can trust, who you can't and why shouldn't not take it personally
Ans. trust my instinct

14. not to apologize for something that isn't your fault
Ans. I still do apologize sometimes even if it's not my fault, i feel sorry for that person.

15. why they say life begins at 30.
Ans. this is the first time i heard that life begins at 30, i dont know why.

This is just a basis, of course our life is not measured by this or any basis, it is how you live your life according to your beliefs, according to your own wisdom and understanding. I may not have everything and may not know everything but so far I am contented with what I have right now and im excited and looking forward on other things life has to offer or what is still in-store for me after 30 and beyond, things that are yet to unfold. For the meantime, i live my life one day at a time and don't let the things that i can't have or the things that I should have but i cant have ruin the enjoyment of the things I already have.

whew! xoxo

rain rain go away

the rain is like forever, i hope it wont get in the way, so i can accomplish my plans.

got a message that on this day, God wants her to know...... that the great advantage of having nothing is that everything becomes a gain.

On my own

06 September 2009

This month is my birth month and I'll be celebrating my birthday on the 27th. Yay!

Speaking of birthday, I think it's about time to declare the independence I been delaying a long time ago. Please don't get me wrong, i can do things on my own, go where i want to go, what im saying is a different kind on independence.

I am a happy person, jolly, i love being surrounded by people i love, i love going to places with friends and families. Most outdoor things i did, I always have friends with me or family. Since I met J three months ago, he's been my constant companion.

Nonetheless, I always want to do things that scares me and go to places i never set foot in (alone) I went to divisoria or quaipo alone, it never scares me even if i been mugged 3 or 4 times because i know my way home. I am a certified lakwatsera, (ask me a place here in manila and i'm sure i can give you direction) but only to places where i can hail a cab when i'm really lost and tried.

When i graduated from college, i wanted to work somewhere outside Manila where I know nobody but me, but I set aside that idea since my is gonna freak out.

Anyway, since i been wanting to declare my independence a long time ago, i wanted to do things on my own this time, on my brith month.

So here is my list (partial) of the things I want to do ALONE, and that i hope i can accomplish if not this month, at least this year

1. Go out of town alone, my first choice is to visit pink Sister and Sonia's Garden in Tagaytay and go to Ilocos and to any other places if possible.
2. Watch movie alone ( im not sure, but ill put it in my list)
3. To travel out of the country alone in Asia only,( if outside Asia, that's a different story)
4. Call me weird but im scared to have a whole body massage, so i'll try this one. I've tried a back massage though.

Last night my mom and I had a real talk and she already gave me her blessing, i'm moving out .i thought she'll freak out when she heard it but thank goodness, she says yes pero next pa daw, lol pwede na rin. I have a conservative parents and im the youngest so it is understandable , i know you can relate. Hope she wont change her mind when that time comes, lol.

Please watch out on my solo flights soon, i really hope time permit me to do these things, alone.

For the meantime, i'll visit you blogs. Ciao

Happy Bday Nanay!

25 August 2009

One of the best moms in the world is celebrating her 70th birthday this coming saturday, Inay as we used to call her. We thank the Lord for the 70 fruitful years of her life and we wish her more.

She get married at the age of 24, blessed with 5 offspring, spend the life taking care of her family. A full time mom and wife, available 24/7, 365 days a year, no leave filed, even when she is sick.

I call her an addict! Yes addict sa household chores, parang gusto rin kunin yong trabaho sa kapit-bahay, that's how great she is. Even lend her time taking care of her grand children.

She prayed 3 times a day, reciting the Rosary and her novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St. Anne. Our first teacher.

Mom and I both love bags, when my bags are missing, i know that they are already in good hands of her.

I remember when we are young, we live near the basketball court, she had a mega phone she used to call my brothers who are playing basketball : "uwi na kayo kakain na!" , lol. she is really funny. She also had a "love radar" she can sense if a guy likes me even before i knew it.

Does she looked like 70?

I thank God for giving her to us. Thank you for your 100% pure love. I prayed that you will still be around when i get married, walk with me down the aisle and hope that you will still be here to teach me how to raise my children the way you and tatay raised us.

Happy Bday mom. I love you!

My mom enjoying my artista shades!

Sana'y di magmaliw ang dati kong araw
Ng munti pang bata sa piling ni nanay
Nais kong maulit ang awit ni inang mahal
Awit ng pag-ibig habang ako't nasa duyan

See you on Saturday!

who is your "the one who got away?"

18 August 2009

A friend posted this article in facebook. She got this from a friend who found it in The Manila Times. I really dont know what issue of Manila Times and whoever wrote this, thank you. This is worth sharing..

**************************************************
That one person that got away....

In your life, you’ll make note of a lot of people. Ones with whom you shared something special, ones who will always mean something. There’s the one you first kissed, the one you first loved, the one you lost your virginity to, the one you put on a pedestal, the one you’re with …and the one that got away.

Who is the one that got away?

I guess it’s that person with who everything was great, everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong. There was no fault in the person, there was no flaw in the chemistry, but the cards just didn’t fall the right way, I suppose. I believe in the fact that ending up with someone, finding a long time partner that is, does not lie merely in the other person. I can actually argue that an equal part, or maybe even the greater part, has to do with the matter of timing.

It has to do with you being ready to settle down and commit to someone in a way that goes beyond the little niceties of giddy romance. How often have you gone through it without even realizing it? When you’re not ready to commit in that mature manner, it doesn’t matter who you’re with, it just doesn’t work. Small problems become big; inconsequential become deal breakers simply because you’re not ready and it shows. It’s not that you and the person you’re with are no good; it’s just that it’s not yet right, and little things become the flashpoint of that fact.

Then one day you’re ready. You really are. And when this happens you’ll be ready to settle down with someone. He or she may not be perfect, they might not be the brightest star of romance to ever have burned in your life, but it’ll work because you’re ready. It’ll work because it’s the right time and you’ll make it work. And it’ll make sense, it really will. The day comes when you’re finally making sense of things, and you find yourself to be a different person. Things are different, your approach is different, you finally understand who you are and what you want and you’ve become ready because the time has truly arrived. And mind you, there’s no telling when this day will come.

Hopefully you’re single… but you could be in a long-term relationship, you could be married with three kids, it doesn’t matter. All you know is that you’ve changed, and for some reason, the one that got away, is the first person you think about. You’ll think about them because you’ll wonder, "What if they were here today?" You’ll wonder, "What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?"

That’s what the one that got away is. The biggest "What if?" you’ll have in your life.

If you’re married, you’ll just have to accept the fact that the one that got away, got away. Believe me, no matter how fairy tale you think your marriage is, this can happen to the best of us. But hopefully you’re mature enough to realize that if you’re already with the one you’re with, that this is just another test of your commitment, one which will just strengthen your marriage when you get past it. Sure, you’ll think about him/her every so often, but it’s alright. It’s never nice to live with a "might have been," but it happens.

Maybe the one that got away is the one who’s already married. In which case it’s the same thing. You just have to accept and know that your memories of that person will probably bring a nice little smile to your lips in the future when you’re old and gray and reminiscing.

But if neither of that is the case, then it’s different. What do you do if it’s not yet too late? Simple… find him, find her. Because the very existence of a "one that got away" means that you’ll always wonder, what if you got that one? Ask him out to coffee; ask her out to a movie, it doesn’t matter if you’ve dropped in from out of nowhere. You’d be surprised, you just might be "the one that got away" as well for the person who is your "the one that got away." You might drop in from out of nowhere and it won’t make a difference.

If the timing is finally right, it’ll all just fall into place somehow. And it would be a great feeling, if in the end, you’d be able to say to someone, "Hey you, you’re the one that almost got away."

and i miss you...

Last week J and I went on our friendly friends date again. He invited me to watch ...And I love you so of Bea and Sam, i seldom watch tagalog movies but he insisted. Anyway the movie is nice, sam and bea's acting was improved in fairness to them.

I mentioned this because one of the locations was taken in anawangin cove and suddenly i miss anawangin, at times when I want to be alone, I wanted to go back there....

Isn't it refreshing?

16 July 2009

... that every little part of me is magical.

Yes, even the parts that hurt, even the ones that are feeling disease right now. It's alright to love what is in pain. More than alright, that's exactly where your love is needed the most. So why not touch that part that hurts and smile at it, at yourself through it, and whisper: ''I love you.''

My bestfriend's wedding

twist of fate

19 May 2009

I been busy looking for suppliers for my online store and hopefully i can get a place to rent. anyway the sudden twist of my fate from being an employee to an aspirant entrepreneur is very overwhelming, exciting and scary. There's a lot i need to learn to start a business, I already made mistakes and i learned from it.

Yesterday I met two buyers, it is exciting meeting new people and future suki for my store, it's a different world for me, i was not confined anymore to the four corner of an office, i can buy my own time, though i miss having an officemates, i been working for eight years it wasn't easy to forget.

anyhow, i know that the road to my new world wouldn't be easy, but i am wishing and hoping and praying that i have enough courage and patience to go on.

I dreamed of owning a boutique, design bags and shoes. I hope it will come true :)

Please wish me luck. :)

i'm stil alive

09 May 2009

It's been a month since the day of my disappearance, lol. I am still alive peeps, wohooo! Marami na ba ako na missed?

In the past two months, so many things happened that made me change my plans, decisions, etc.

Last March 6, when the media announces the death of Francis M at 12pm, 2 hours later the boss announces the death of our company, yes we had to close because of the global financial crisis. We were forced to say goodbye to the company and the people who became my family for almost two years, the big boss sounds like crying during our conference call.

Suddenly, i was forced to make decisions and switched to plan B. It is sad that we lose our job but even sadder when i will no longer with the people i worked with 10hours a day, 5days a week, the memories, the laughter, we all had shares of tampuhan blues but we never took it personally, i miss them a lot.

Anyhow, i'm good, life must go on, right? Yesterday when i attended the graduation of my soon to be doctor cousin, these words stocked in my mind, the priest says, 'that God is always present in all life's uncertainties.

Rigth now i'm doing lots of stuff, i don't have work yet, (may opening ba sa inyo? lol) taking care of a small business, engaged in different rakets (lol) anyway if you are not busy, please drop by at my online store at multiply http://etceterastore.multiply.com/

I hope you guys are all okey, hope to catch up with you soon. Miss yah! Ciao

the girl with a green scarf

27 February 2009

just watch confession of a shoppaholic an hour ago, after seeing the movie, i realized that im far from being a shoppaholic, i really thought that im a borderline shoppaholic, thank God Im not, i never been to any fight just for the pair of boots on sale, lol.

it's a lighthearted film, it leaves me with a good feeling after and being mesmerized by hugh dancy smile is a plus, isla fisher is good too, she has a "gift of physical comedy". I never read any of the book so dont have comparison, anyone wants to share?

anyhow, i think im gonna use these words "do i need this" often.

Happy weekend guys!

ketchup please..

19 February 2009

I and friends had lunch at mcdo yesterday, i opened 2 ketchup for my fries, i dipped one, eat and then i burst out:

me: ang tamis, bat ang tamis? parang iba.
eight: ano ba number yan ketchup mo?
me: anong number? ano relevance ng number?
eight : (looking at the ketchup i just open) ahh 2
me: ano nga relevance?
eight: kc pag mas mataas ang number mas maasim
me: ows, yon ba yon, bat nde namin alam?
eight: oo totoo yon!
c: baka control number
me: sige lets ask the crew
me: ms. ano ibig sabihin ng number sa baba?
crew: ahh yung box number po.
us: boooo eight!
eight: nde ah sige ask natin yong manager
viola! the manager was around our area, attending other customers.

c: ms. ano ibig sabihin ng number sa ketchup?
manager: ahh, indication ng sourness, habang tumataas po ang number "paasim ng paasim"
see the number at the bottom

Ok. ayt, conviced!, we asked eight, how did she know it, she said a friend told her. We tried 1, 2, 6 and found out the difference.

we were amazed by the information we learned and wonder how come we didnt know it. i been eating at mcdo for ages and i never heard of that, the ketchup are numbered from 1-9, as the number rises, the sourness increases.

I dont know if we were the last people to know it but amazed with the info. So next time i will dine at mcdo, ill ask for number 2 please...

like a little girl enchanted

14 February 2009

please forgive me if i can't stop talking about my last weekend adventures, i just cant help it, i was like a little girl enchanted by this place and couldn't bear to leave. I'll be back soon.

ola, i'm done with another class report so i gave my self a little leeway and currently i'm reading this book.

" It is a story about the extraordinary love story of clare and henry who met when clare was 6 and henry was 36 and were married when clare was 22 and henry 30. It is impossible but true, henry suffers from a rare condition where his genetic clock periodically resets and he finds himself pulled suddenly into his past or future. In the face of this force they can neither prevent nor control. henry and clare's struggle to lead a normal lives both intensely moving and entirely unforgettable."

it is enchanting too, cant put this down so i got to go. xoxo

Happiness in my own language

12 February 2009

This is my entry on Odette's Bday Giveaway. She is celebrating her b-day on Valentines day!

Happy Bday odette, may all your wishes come true. You are the inspiration behind this blog, you know that. Thanks girl!

What is happiness?
  • Is home
  • Is when people learn something for you and they pass it on to others
  • Is when when I feel the wind embraces me whispering "believe me, you are blessed"
  • Is when my mom assured me "everything is gonna be alright"
  • Is when people I am not close with care for me.
  • Is the sight of the morning sunshine saying "hello, it is a brand new day"

11 February 2009

after the muni-muni, the getting-know part and the needed rest for our next destination, we bid goodbye to anawangin. As much as i want to stay, i cant, but i think left my heart there.

group picture before leaving

By 8am, sunday morning. we are off to lighthouse at capones island by boat. It's windy and the ocean is wavy. After a boat ride that seems like forever (30-45mins), we reached the island, yay! the catch is, the boat can't dock to the shore because of the huge rocks, we have no choice but to swim off to the shore which is approximately 30 ft. (not really sure). Anyhow at the sight of the stairs to the lighthouse, suddenly i opt to stay at the boat, it's like I acquired a fear of stairs (if there is any), my legs are painful, on the other hand I dont want to be left alone in the boat, so i change for my swim wear, we all changed in the boat, thanks to the sarong sheng gave me, very useful.

It wasn't easy to reach the shore because of the huge waves and rocks, even in you can swim it wont help, the wave comes every 5 seconds.

The lighthouse is situated on top of the hill. It was abandoned, i dont know how long and i dont know why it has been abandoned, lol, obviously i havent done my research.

this is the spiral stairs to the lighthouse, it was rusty and shaky, i wasn't able to make it to the top, i was overcome by my fear of height.

view from the top (photo credit: J)

while waiting for them, i took some pictures, with doors and windows as my subject.

we stayed there for like 30 mins and head back to civilization, we still have a ride to catch back to manila.
thanks to these guys who are on the rescue, its like catch me, im falling, or catch me, i'm clumsy

Indeed, it was quite an adventure, no signal, no internet, painful but fun, meeting new people, learning and discovering something new. I would probably want to experience the same. xoxo.

pain + fun (part 1)

09 February 2009

im on leave today, my legs are still sore, we climbed Mt. Pundaquit (zambales) last weekend. It was a 6 hour journey, up and down. It was my first climb ever and i dont think im gonna do that again! It was so hard, i swear! (lol)

Despite my busy days, i cant afford to miss this trip. I been wanting to go to anawangin the first time i saw a picture of it 2years ago, it's like love at first sight, that's why when C's classmate "J" invited us to go there i said yes right away. Thank Good Lord, I dont have class report scheduled on that day. Nakisama ang panahon talaga.

We left manila at 11:30pm friday night. We reached San Antonio, Zambales at around 3am. 20min tricycle ride to pundaquit. we gathered at the house of our guide for briefings, by 3:30 we are off to Mt. Pundaquit. We were with others hikers, actually there are a lot of hikers group. We were 16 in our team. It was still dark, the way to the foot of the mountain is sandy, you know how hard to walk in the sand, there is also a rocky part. By the time we reached the foot of the mountain im already tired. We took a 5 min rest before starting the "real" journey. With a back pack on my back, a rocky road (at that point i dont want the taste of rocky road) and a little light that came from our flash lights, i wanted to quit, yes, i really wanted to go back, i felt shortness of breath, probably im scared, i was praying silently and asking God for strength, i prayed "Lord sana makabalik pa ko ng buhay". i was silent for a moment thinking how to tell them i wanted to stop right there and go back but there is no turning back we are already miles away from the village, we took another rest, i decided to let the guide carry my back pack, goodness gracious, he said yes. Without the weight on my shoulder going up is much easier, my fear disappeared slowly, my breath goes back to normal and the will of reaching the summit gives me the courage to go on.

The track is tough, indeed, it is dark and grassy as in tall grasses. The only words i know at that moment is "malayo pa ba?" the climb is like eternity, someone screaming "are we there yet?" again and again.

When our guide finally said, "we are almost there" a wide smiles overcome us, finally! It's like seeing a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

By 6am we finally reached the summit, by that time the sun is getting ready to say "hello" world, but the clouds spoil the sun to rise with all its valor.

Wow, wow, the view on top of the mountain is so amazing, i was so proud i finished the journey! Congrats self! The other group of hikers were already on the summit. We took pictures and ate our breakfast.

Thanks J and the group for being so patient with us, assisting us in every step of the way, hahah naks!

I'd like to give tribute to kuya in orange shirt, he is the one carried my backpack, he is also our guide. You made my climb easier.

By 6:30 we are getting ready on our way down. I thought that going down is easier than going up, but i was so wrong, it was harder, you have to fight against gravity, with all my remaining power, i managed to reach the ground safe by 9am with a sore legs and feet.

Friends and I were the last to reach the ground and stunned at the news that J stumbled on the ground, his forehead hit the rock, got a cut about an inch, it was a little bloody, good thing they had a first aid kit and a nurse on the group. The bleeding stopped and J's back still kicking!

At the sight of anawangin with its glory, a peaceful sea, a mountain, pine tress and all, it was worth the 6 hour of torment.

Odd! that was a lot of people's reaction when they saw the place, how come a pine tress managed to grow on sand? Anyhow, that's the wonder of the place. Whatever force brought the pine trees there, I want to thank it, that made the place surreal among other places. The place was so serene.

I was thinking of edward hopping from one pine tree to another, bela on her back.

the majestic sunset

the moon reminds me of twilight..

I had so much fun, it was a new kind of adventure for me. I'm already planning my second visit to anawangin.

More stories tomorrow - our adventure at the light house in Capones Island

waiting in vain...

A funny thought to ponder on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

An excerpt from Bob Ong's:

Mga Pilosopiya sa pag-ibig

“ Kung maghihintay ka lang nang lalandi sayo, walang magyayari sa buhay mo… dapat lumandi ka din.”. .

Happy Weekend everyone!

Inspired by When you're 30

On my own

16 July 2009

on this day, God wants me to know....

... that every little part of me is magical.

Yes, even the parts that hurt, even the ones that are feeling disease right now. It's alright to love what is in pain. More than alright, that's exactly where your love is needed the most. So why not touch that part that hurts and smile at it, at yourself through it, and whisper: ''I love you.''

twist of fate

Miss yah! Ciao

the girl with a green scarf

just watch confession of a shoppaholic an hour ago, after seeing the movie, i realized that im far from being a shoppaholic, i really thought that im a borderline shoppaholic, thank God Im not, i never been to any fight just for the pair of boots on sale, lol.

it's a lighthearted film, it leaves me with a good feeling after and being mesmerized by hugh dancy smile is a plus, isla fisher is good too, she has a "gift of physical comedy". I never read any of the book so dont have comparison, anyone wants to share?

anyhow, i think im gonna use these words "do i need this" often.

Happy weekend guys!

ketchup please..

So next time i will dine at mcdo, ill ask for number 2 please...

ola, i'm done with another class report so i gave my self a little leeway and currently i'm reading this book.

This is my entry on Odette's Bday Giveaway. She is celebrating her b-day on Valentines day!

Happy Bday odette, may all your wishes come true. You are the inspiration behind this blog, you know that. Thanks girl!

What is happiness?
  • Is home
  • Is when people learn something for you and they pass it on to others
  • Is when when I feel the wind embraces me whispering "believe me, you are blessed"
  • Is when my mom assured me "everything is gonna be alright"
  • Is when people I am not close with care for me.
  • Is the sight of the morning sunshine saying "hello, it is a brand new day"
  • Is the raindrops falling on me reminding me "you'll never be thirsty again"
  • Is watching Big Bang Theory, makes me laugh till I cry and my tummy ache
  • Is doing things I hate and then i realized that It wasn't bad at all
  • Is discovering new things in me that i never thought i possess
  • Is friends
  • Is wearing my comfort shirt
  • Is eating peanuts despite my allergy
  • Is bags, lots of bags
  • Is adventure
  • Is getting what i want
  • Is having the courage to do the things i am scared of
  • Is sipping uber cold watermelon shake in a nice tall glass in the beach
and lastly happiness is ......... L-O-V-E

Happy Bday, odette and happy heart day, everyone!

a continuation.....(part 2)

after the muni-muni, the getting-know part and the needed rest for our next destination, we bid goodbye to anawangin.

I would probably want to experience the same. xoxo.

pain + fun (part 1)

im on leave today, my legs are still sore, we climbed Mt.
