rejoice in finding the lost

11 September 2010

I was lost and found my way back! My way back to blog world. This blog been idle for months for 3 reasons: (1) busy with work (2) nothing much to talk about except work and i dont want to exhaust you & (3) too lazy.

Since the last time you heard from me, except those who are in my facebook list, I eat, I pray (and i lost love). I got hooked by Elizabeth's search for "balance". I drooled and craved for Italian food, imagined my self praying and scrubbing the tiles of the Ashram and hoping to replace a lost love (anywhere, even if i'm not) in Indonesia, and I want to meet the medicine man and his magic picture.

Today, I attended the (anticipated) mass at my favorite chapel, St.Pio Chapel in Libis. I discovered this chapel (that looked like a church) when i was working in Eastwood.

The place is beautiful and solemn, I was amazed at its grandeur, that I lost for words describing it (i want you to find it for your self here). I been there many times and still, i feel like crying during my every visit. Many devotees of Padre Pio went there everyday. After every mass, there is a veneration of Padre Pio relics. You can write your petitions as many as you want, there are 2 drop boxes, one inside the chapel and the other one is in the garden at the back.

The place is so peaceful. When i first saw it, i told my self I want to get married here (but im not sure if they allow weddings there) . For me it is a perfect place for spiritual enhancement and soul searching.

This Sunday's gospel is about God's love for all of us, even those who've gone astray. God rejoices when a lost soul find its way back. I've lost my way many times, but with His love, I managed to trace the path back and i'm grateful for that.

Have a blessed Sunday everyone.
Pray, Hope and dont worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and
will hear your prayer. Prayer is the best weapon we have, it's the key

who is your "the one who got away?"

18 August 2009

A friend posted this article in facebook. She got this from a friend who found it in The Manila Times. I really dont know what issue of Manila Times and whoever wrote this, thank you. This is worth sharing..

**************************************************
That one person that got away....

In your life, you’ll make note of a lot of people. Ones with whom you shared something special, ones who will always mean something. There’s the one you first kissed, the one you first loved, the one you lost your virginity to, the one you put on a pedestal, the one you’re with …and the one that got away.

Who is the one that got away?

I guess it’s that person with who everything was great, everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong. There was no fault in the person, there was no flaw in the chemistry, but the cards just didn’t fall the right way, I suppose. I believe in the fact that ending up with someone, finding a long time partner that is, does not lie merely in the other person. I can actually argue that an equal part, or maybe even the greater part, has to do with the matter of timing.

It has to do with you being ready to settle down and commit to someone in a way that goes beyond the little niceties of giddy romance. How often have you gone through it without even realizing it? When you’re not ready to commit in that mature manner, it doesn’t matter who you’re with, it just doesn’t work. Small problems become big; inconsequential become deal breakers simply because you’re not ready and it shows. It’s not that you and the person you’re with are no good; it’s just that it’s not yet right, and little things become the flashpoint of that fact.

Then one day you’re ready. You really are. And when this happens you’ll be ready to settle down with someone. He or she may not be perfect, they might not be the brightest star of romance to ever have burned in your life, but it’ll work because you’re ready. It’ll work because it’s the right time and you’ll make it work. And it’ll make sense, it really will. The day comes when you’re finally making sense of things, and you find yourself to be a different person. Things are different, your approach is different, you finally understand who you are and what you want and you’ve become ready because the time has truly arrived. And mind you, there’s no telling when this day will come.

Hopefully you’re single… but you could be in a long-term relationship, you could be married with three kids, it doesn’t matter. All you know is that you’ve changed, and for some reason, the one that got away, is the first person you think about. You’ll think about them because you’ll wonder, "What if they were here today?" You’ll wonder, "What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?"

That’s what the one that got away is. The biggest "What if?" you’ll have in your life.

If you’re married, you’ll just have to accept the fact that the one that got away, got away. Believe me, no matter how fairy tale you think your marriage is, this can happen to the best of us. But hopefully you’re mature enough to realize that if you’re already with the one you’re with, that this is just another test of your commitment, one which will just strengthen your marriage when you get past it. Sure, you’ll think about him/her every so often, but it’s alright. It’s never nice to live with a "might have been," but it happens.

Maybe the one that got away is the one who’s already married. In which case it’s the same thing. You just have to accept and know that your memories of that person will probably bring a nice little smile to your lips in the future when you’re old and gray and reminiscing.

But if neither of that is the case, then it’s different. What do you do if it’s not yet too late? Simple… find him, find her. Because the very existence of a "one that got away" means that you’ll always wonder, what if you got that one? Ask him out to coffee; ask her out to a movie, it doesn’t matter if you’ve dropped in from out of nowhere. You’d be surprised, you just might be "the one that got away" as well for the person who is your "the one that got away." You might drop in from out of nowhere and it won’t make a difference.

If the timing is finally right, it’ll all just fall into place somehow. And it would be a great feeling, if in the end, you’d be able to say to someone, "Hey you, you’re the one that almost got away."

1. I am guilty (1)! i been eating unhealthy food since last week, i'm craving for junkies, i am hungry most of the time, that's what i am like whenever my period is on its way (i believed most of us girls, am i right?) and too lazy to do my regular exercise or to do any other thing, i am guilty. Yesterday i ate 2 slices of (medium size) brownies and i got an inflamed tonsils(karma?).

2. I am guilty (2). Today we had "eat all you can lunch" at something fishy, gluttony!

3. I am anxious/excited about going back to school, anxious because there are only 15 slots for the Saturday classes, we(my new friends/future classmates) wish we can be counted for weekend classes. Excited first, because it is far different from college, t is an MA second it's UP and i'm so glad that i made it. Like my other classmates, i am aiming too to have a solair medal of excellence or to be a scholar, wow, am i aiming too high? But i want to give it a shot. What i need is to take 9 units per sem and maintain an average of 1.17. hahaha, am i out of my mind? will i make it? lets see..libre ang mangarap.

4. Procrastination strikes again! I need to accomplish a lot of things but i am too lazy to do anything, except blogging. LOL

5. I am stressed out, my boss left all the work with me. To mention a few, i talked to the lessor, repairman, suppliers, short listing of applicants, etc. Setting up of our sales office is giving me an awful headache.

6. I am in need of a whole body massage.

7. I am wallowing in self pity. Should I? This someone special is giving me a mix signal, he seems sincere and the next day is another thing, why? every time we talk he
keeps on saying he loves me but days (worst) 5days pass by without calls/text message just to say hi, how are you? blah blah? And whenever i ask him why, he said "please understand, i have work problems but i assure you I love and I miss you so much". He is been like that for two months, I'm confused, maybe he is not just that into me? am i just wasting my time? or should i give it another shot? I been in several relationships, the longest is 6yrs and i dont want to think it all failed because i remain friends with others(all married). I'm sad about the fact that i haven't meet the right one yet but i still believe there is. waaaa, here i am again divulging too much.

anyhow, looking at the bright side, this song inspires me, i hope i can see clearly tomorrow.

Is he there yet?

I’d like to quote Charlotte York of Sex and the City before my heart burst, “I been dating since I was fifteen, I’m exhausted, where is he?”

Yes, I too been dating since I was fifteen and still (arg!)until now, there are times when I really feel exhausted and about to give up, but the little voice in my head (and meng)tells me not to and continue to believe that love comes to those who believed it.

I’m one of the thousand single gals out there who are waiting for the right person to come my way. Often times, one has to go through painful break ups before little cupid hit the bulls eye, it made our world turn upside down like a roller coaster ride but “a break-up can be a blessing in disguise”. It's God's way of bringing you to the man intended for us. I am imbibing what odette once told me (her testimonial that there's one great love),
"True, it's really worth the time to wait for love. There is a place where love is beautiful, and you won't feel taken for granted, rejected, set aside and where you can love all you can without thought of return or taken advantaged, where love just fills all the gaps, where everything falls into right places, where you will feel that you are not just an option but the only choice and you won't feel the need for anything else. Every woman deserves that. We, women, love with our everything and I think we deserve someone to do the same for us".

I am embracing love, I am out there, I believed that time will come when I no longer ask “Where is he?”
