10 things i want to accomplish in my lifetime

12 November 2008

yah i know i'm dull, this blog is dull and lame for the past weeks. My moods sucks! I'm not in the mood to do anything and im struggling to finish this post (lol), i'll try though.

Okey, i wanted to write this weeks ago pa, so before lazyness strikes again, here it goes:

In no particular order, here are the 10 things i want to accomplish in my lifetime (thanks G-anne for reminding me):

1. This is my ultimate dream, i said this many times, i want to put up a foundation for less fortunate people specially the orphans. Calling all prospective partners out there...

2. To have my Masters of Industrial Relations diploma. I just started last saturday, it's still too far away, so wish me luck.

3. To travel here and abroad.

4. Learn how to sew and put up my own botique, design clothes, bags and shoes.

5. I want to have my own family ( a loving and faithful husband (meron pa ba?) and a (healthy) baby, sana next year na (lol)

6. To stay healthy in all aspect, spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally (it's hard to maintain, it is everyone's battle, right?)

7. To perfectly sing at least one of Maria Carey songs, please don't laugh, i'm a frustrated singer.

8. To be financially stable and this means having a stable and a rewarding job and to learn manage well my finances.

9. I know this is insane but i want to give it a try, to be stress free in this chaotic and crazy world.

10. and the last but definitely not the least, to be able to do something to help save our environment from total destruction.

Amen!

I miss home

26 October 2008

i miss our home in quezon, we have house by the sea, where the air is clean, food are fresh (fish, fruits and vegetable) and I get a chance to see people i grew up with. I'm going there next weekend, actually it was not in my plan but with all the stress that the city brought, I really need a break. It could be a perfect get away, away from the city life even for a while. Our home is 5hour drive from manila, i visit 4 or 5 times a year, depending on my work schedule.

where i grew up. see it's green (lol)

with my pamangkins, playing in the sea during low tide. low tide starts around 11am until 5pm

making sandballs

enjoying the water

my pamangkins with our neighbors playing with paper boats

a cottage at the back of our house. this is where we gather every time we visit home

flower from our small garden

I spent sixteen years of my life there. I am a proud promdi (from the province) like what odette said in here post, "I have this place to come home to and relax". It is so refreshing, i can talk to the ocean, i can shout, i can sing loud, i can dance, i can be who i am , we are lucky odette! I have a happy childhood and i think that answer my boss question's "why are you always happy?. Our environment has an important role to play in molding one's character and i'm lucky that i grew up there with so much wonderful memories and i would never exchange it for anything else, i may be used to city living but it will always have a special place in my heart.

I'm going home. I'll take more pictures when i get back. Take care everyone.

In pursuit of happiness

18 October 2008

It's been a decade since i left college and took the road to the real big/small world, i didn't end up working in media and im not surprised because my heart was never in it. I obtained a masscomm degree, obviously i want to be a newscaster (that was a dream of a young girl in me). Early in college i realized that I want to be a psychologist/psychiatrist/shrink whatever anyone wanna call it. I planned to shift my course but since i already have circle of friends in mass comm and i dont wanna start over again, i dropped the idea and pursue what i have started. There are regrets though but i am grateful for the lessons i learned and friendship i made. But you can never put on the back burner what your heart's desire. I turned down an employment offer from one of the tv networks here (don't get me wrong, it wasn't a big deal) and landed in the real corporate world instead (sometimes i wonder what i become if i accepted the job?) There's an intense need to pursue what i like, if not, something related or close to it. Slowly my job leads me to the door but it was never easy, there are obstacles, too many cross roads, i learned a whole lot of things from people i met along the journey and there are more to learn. Now i am working as an HR generalist, at least it is close to what i want to become and i'm happy. Next month i'm going back to school. I'm aiming to have a thorough knowledge in the field of human resources management . I'm excited, i want to know how it is different from my happy-go-lucky college days, i want to know how matured i become or did i mature at all? lol.

To sum it up, i am happy with what is going on with my life (there are bad times but bearable. ) Everything falls into place except for one, but im very positive about it, i know it will be granted soon, i'm wishing on the same star. I'll keep my fingers cross.

"Happiness is emotion in which one experiences feelings ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense joy." Hmm, thank you WikiPedia

this is not me

01 October 2008

today is holiday (edil fitr) and it's pouring hard, Metro Manila is under public storm signal number 2 (typhoon Pablo) and there are more to come before the year ends. I prefered to work instead of staying at home and cuddle my pillows, im so restless and acting like a scoundrel this past few days, i easily get irritated on small things i dont know why(is it because of my hormones?) im not usually like that, my american boss always ask me why i am always happy? im a jolly person, my bad mood only last for two hours, that's the normal me, but rigth now i just couldnt, whatever i see, wherever i go, i always find something that annoys me. This morning i almost shouted the jeepney driver on my way to office because his music is ver very very loud, he couldnt hear passengers saying "para and bayad" but is still managed not too(good thing).

Does it happen to you? do you easily get pissed off on super petty things? i have no reason to be anger at all, im acting weird, this is not me.
